Cheers iann, I've actually got them under artificial light and they've been in about 6 weeks but are getting a decent size already so I guess they're probably not too far off coming out then.
This is where they're at right now.

Lithops and the Baggie Method
Can someone remind me, when growing Lithops with the baggie method do you normally ease them out of the humidity of growing in a bag before they grow their first set of main leaves or after?

Re: CactusWorld
I'll be honest, despite having watched HIGNFY since forever I always assumed that publications on it were so ludicrous as to not actually be real. It wasn't until I saw Cactusworld that all those years of obscure publications were actually real. I think part the problem is as someone pointed out ear...

Re: What's wrong with my Melocactus?
Even if it's lost its roots it's a complete myth that Melocactus can't regrow them once they have their cephalium, I've done it multiple times, so all is not lost either way. You can repot it into Tesco non-clumping cat litter now and just ever so slightly wet the cat litter once a month or so. That...

Re: Micranthocereus hofackerianus 15month old
I'm not sure how old they'd have to be to reach 3cm diameter, mine are coming up for 10 years old and still barely breaking a centimeter.
This is fairly typical growth for them, fast growing, beautiful flowers, and they flower pretty much all year around on and off too.

Re: New fora? Forums?
They haven't realy been publicised to the target audience yet too many other things to do, I set them up now in preparation of things to come. Bill On this note, what happened to the site redesign? I thought the BCSS was paying an external organisation hard money to rebuild the BCSS' web presence, ...

Re: Arrojadoa ID
I think you are right James but perhaps for the wrong reason! I spent some time this morning searching my records and came up with original seedlist from 2009 plus the empty packets. I ordered Arrojadoa dinae v eriocaulis from the list. The packet said Arrojado eriocaulis MMd980. It obviously isn't...

Hi Ray, thanks for the reply. You say mainly cereoids like they're disappointing, they're always my favourites
Yeah we're on Cozumel island for the first week, then Playa Del Carmen the second week. I'll keep an eye out but not expect too much then.

Yeah but the point was you can take a notebook with you, no need to leave it in the car.

Re: Warning.
You don't need to tell me Dave, I go diving and so definitely can't take my iPad, land camera, and GPS underwater with me  If I need to record anything, i.e. doing a SeaSearch survey for the MCS I do so on a waterproof slate and write it up when I get back. I'd suggest if you're not taking the ...
