Hi Lucy
You could try one of the telescopic adjustable curtain poles to fit behind the pots to hold them in place. They are easily available and come in different sizes at £10 - £15.
Hope this helps

Based on the golden spines I would vote for Mamm Pringlei. I think Mamm Spinosissima has browner spination. Either way, I agree it it doesn't need watering. The body needs to be allowed to tighten up and regain a more normal shape.

It's not wax. Most opuntia fruits leave a concave depression when the flower remains detach from the fruiting body.

I think #2 is a copiapoa. The 2016 list has 15 copiapoa listed so difficult to tell which until its a lot bigger but based on the spine colour I would hazard a guess at one of the Coquimbana forms. I don't think its from the 2015 list.

Looks like you got nearly 100% germination there Darren. I got 6 plants from the same bcss offering and these are now individually potted up and 3 - 4cm across. You may also be interested to know that these seem to be fully hardy in an unheated greenhouse - at least down to minus 6 deg C (no guarant...

Thanks for the comments. The plant is in a 30cm bowl and I think the exceptional summer certainly helped.

Continuous flowering observation

Re: Baked clay granules
EuroCar parts seem to be stocking clay granules again:
https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/super-so ... -542770768
currently £10.49 for 20 litres. The packaging says the granules are Clay based and non-clogging but you would probably need to visit a local branch and check out the product.

Not sure why you would need "BCSS official account" - I assume you are contemplating a branch visit so just make direct contact on behalf of your branch.
