It's more of a stem succulent than a caudiciform. If you want to remove an offset to root, go for it.
They are "winter growers", so most active in spring and autumn in UK conditions.

It looks like someone confused "leek cultivation" with "Lophophora cultivation" at some stage in their past.

It's warm and under lights and reasonably damp. It was kept cooler and dry earlier in winter and dropped its leaves for a while. I doubt if it ever went much below 10degC though. They do rebound quickly from drought dormancy with warmth, water and light. I assume it would happily grow and flower yea...

It’s a great seed list. I tried to order from it a couple of years ago but they refused to ship to the uk
