Many of the plants I buy are so severely infested with mealy
bugs and other pests.
The plant was dormant over the winter and started to grow in April but the rate of growth is rather disappointing.
Maybe I should increase the amount of fertiliser as you mentioned water more frequently And take it out of direct sun.

Mike, thank you. No dessicating or science lab stuff needed? Dessicating might increase the longevity of pollen but have not tried any special treatment yet.
