From this side of the lens it seems to have taken forever to get here - I kicked it all off November '22.

Interesting book due out soon...

Just found out my forthcoming book is listed on Amazon as a 'pre-order'. So it is real, after all! https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61d3XQd9UjL._SY466_.jpg https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dry-Exotic-Garden-Xeriscaping-Succulents/dp/0719844169/ref=sr_1_1?crid=DBYD9ESZCAG1&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.5UI_...

Re: Euphorbia makeover

I think it looks amazing and the basket weave of the pot matches the trunk pattern almost exactly. Fabulous.

Re: Smaller agaves (and their hardiness)

Thanks for this, Paul. Size wise I'm talking 30-40cm diameter or less. I really like the ones with tight rosettes with the wide leaves over the longer, strappy leaves. There are very few, in that case. Can only suggest you get a larger growing one like one of the parryi group then remove it once it...

Re: Smaller agaves (and their hardiness)

Forget potatorum, it isn't UK hardy. How small is small? Top of my list would be A. polianthiflora, which is very small, also good and hardy - a precocious flowerer with interesting red flowers. Things like toumeyana, toumeyana bella, schottii, parviflora are similar but not quite as nice IMO. A. le...
