Virtually impossible to keep them mark-free in my experience, as are most Echinocereus.
That's not too bad at all.
And they always flower well....

Re: What's happened
Could be cold damage since winter and rot has now set in.
Last two might be saveable if you take a sharp knife above the rotting parts.

Re: Sulcorebutia and handwriting
I had a good look but couldn't find that field number on any of my seed lists.
Most canigueralii will give you a flower colour like that. The non applanata kind.
PHA260 and HS71 would be more popular.
. But the petals on that are very rounded.
Almost like a Rebutia.

Re: Sulcorebutia and handwriting
I saw that photo on Facebook and made a note of it myself.
There's more experienced people on here than me with field numbers but this may help (or just confuse the issue more).

Re: Pest control
A handy tool in the battle against smaller bugs. Gives you both hands free.
It’s an eye loupe holder.

Re: A slow start
Constant rain and dreary days here in the west of Ireland.
I've only watered last years seedlings.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll do some watering if I can get the lawns cut.
Let it bee is only an excuse....
