Re: buying cacti in Spain

Malaga. Anyone knows of cactus/succulent nurseries in the neighbourhood of Malaga? I know there are Botanical Gardens, but they don´t usually sell cacti so a nursery or a well stocked Garden Center would be nice. I and my better half are visiting a friend in Malaga for a week around the new year and...

Re: This Last Week

When I lost most of my collection to frost around 2010/11. All I remember now is wheelie bins full of skeletal remains. Is it not false economy to not heat a greenhouse, at the risk of then binning lots of plants ? Replacing the lost plants (in some cases maybe not possible) could cost more than he...

Lots of things were suggested, including modifying the registry, but nothing worked for me so I just gave up. Just tried to set my default...

Re: Website broken links

Might be similar to what happens me.

The links open in my 'Mail' app but I use Outlook as default and I have no way of seeing the actual email address.

Re: Seeking Mammillaria densispina

I can send you over one from Ireland if you want to risk it. These are from SuccSeed HO 326 in 2017. Not listed now. One at the back has darker spines. It's not very evident. I've never been able to find HO 326, H 326 or H 0326, listed anywhere. But it's supposed to be hardy. Charco Azul, Gto Flower...

Re: It's going to get cold.

If the heat comes from the ground then bubble-wrap on benches and this type of carry-on can't be of much use surely?

Re: It's going to get cold.

Whenever it gets cold I'm reminded of these informative articles by Philip Greswell.
