Re: Gymno buds

A hint of sunshine today so buds three through seven trying their utmost to achieve their goal... Can't say these little Gymno's don't try!

Thanks iann. I already learned the watering lesson the hard way..!

Re: Baby Toes

Here you go. This is a healthy enough colouring. The white-flowered plants tend to stay very green even under very strong Sun, but the yellow-flowered subspecies colours up more. fenestraria1.jpg Here's a slightly stressed plant from last August, but still basically healthy. fireworth-0824.jpg The ...

Re: Baby Toes

Picture? They don't usually mind full sun. The sides of the leaves may turn a little reddish perhaps, if they are grown out of the soil. Noted and thanks iann. They are indeed grown "out of the soil". Sadly no picture possible just at the moment, temporary problem with camera equipment......

Re: Copiapoa Tenuissima

Nice flower. To me it looks fine in that pot. It'll look a bit swamped in a pot bigger than that. Noted and thanks. I agree that a bigger pot might not suit the look of it, I was just mindful of the fact I read somewhere they have very large roots which require a lot of space... Another instance wh...

Copiapoa Tenuissima

This plant has up to now always been a "one flower a year" example, but this time it has three more buds following behind. Not sure if I should be thinking about going up a pot size now?
