Re: Documentaries on Cacti/succulents or deserts

This has just been released on Netflix. https://www.netflix.com/ie/title/80229847 May not be everybody's cup of tea but the fourth episode deals with Mescaline, the psychoactive molecule in San Pedro and peyote cacti. Haven't seen it myself as I don't have Netflix. I thought that whole series was g...

Re: New IKEA cacti

I came away from the most recent Nottingham branch meeting with a similarly slightly misshapen Parodia - I wonder if it too came from Ikea?

I was in Ikea on Saturday and didn't see anything worth buying unfortunately :(

Re: Coryphantha Andreae discolouration

I had good results with 3 weeks buried in/under diatomaceous earth and then regular applications of contact pesticides based on "fatty acids". Search for "RHS pesticides for gardeners" pdf. I’ve got some sb invigorator on the way. Will treat everything as I have another coryphan...

Coryphantha Andreae discolouration

Hi all, I picked up this coryphantha andreae last night to check it and I was greeted on the side I couldn't see with this large amount of discolouration, including on one of the small offsets. This side has been reasonably close to the painted brick wall behind it for the past month or so - does an...

Re: Results of last years seed sowing

The grow light set up is one of those ‘indoor garden’ types and I find the heat generated by the fluorescent tubes and their gear is sufficient to keep it warm through the winter months - its located in a spare bedroom. I keep a 14/15 hour day length going continuously and feed and water as require...
