Isn't it a mangave ? Depending on which paper you follow it might be an Agave as Manfreda was lumped under Agave in one study. I prefer the idea that splits Manfreda, Polianthes back out and created Echinoagave, Paleoagave and Paraagave. Here's some 'interesting' suggestions for the new hybrid gene...

Looks good. What size is the plant? I have lost plants about a foot across when plants closer to two foot have survived fine. It might be worth fitting a rain cover over the winter to keep the wet off.

Thanks Allan. I'm currently designing a new greenhouse and looking at what sort of range I should try to aim to keep the greenhouse at so thanks for that.
