Re: Adenium obesum advice

Thank you everyone for the advice, puts my mind at ease. I repotted them a few weeks ago and I think they are sulking a bit. The trunks have gone soft I didn't want to overdo the watering until they have settled in. Terry you mention buying from Holland. Is it straight forward buying from overseas? ...

Re: Soil mixes

Thank you, great advice. Ashwood is my favourite garden centre and I use their JI No 2 for all my cactus and succulents. Think I'm on the right track then.
Interested though about the Ericaceous compost. Do cactus do well in acid compost? And should I only use on certain types of cactus?

Re: Soil mixes

Thank you for all your advice. I often hear about grit, is this available from garden centres and a special type. I have come across the chicken grit on Ebay. Is this the same type that everyone is using?

Re: Soil mixes

Thanks for the replies. Would the mix be suitable for all cactus and succulents or does it need tweeking for different types.

Soil mixes

Hi I'm 3 years into growing cactus's and succulents and starting to get a great collection. I currently use a mix of 1x JI No2, 1x Silver sand and 1x cat litter. I would like to ask if this is a good combination and what is everyone else using.
Thanks
