Re: I need more s p a c e
I've added a bit more space in my greenhouse by resting an old plastic coated metal bath rack across the cross supports in the roof. I put a few not too heavy, sun loving plants in. They are sitting in transparent food containers, so I can see that they aren't sitting in water for too long after I'v...

Re: Coronavirus and your branch
Luton Branch have also cancelled the meetings for April and May, and will see what happens before deciding about future meetings. The news from China and Singapore this morning, that they have had no new cases reoprted, gives us a glimmer of hope.
Keep well everyone.
Keep well everyone.

Re: Pediocactus knowltonii grafted on Pereskiopsis
Update on my pediocactus. Its still alive! It has survived its second winter. I watered all my plants, just a little, last Thursday to get them going as some are showing buds. No buds on the pediocactus just yet, maybe it isn't mature enough, but it certainly seemed to have enjoyed its first drink. ...

Re: Best time of year to pot on haworthias
Ian says to thank everyone for their advice. He will get busy potting as soon as possible. As soon as he's finished the list of things I want him to do, that is!

Best time of year to pot on haworthias
My husband Ian grows haworthias. He'd like to know when is the best time of year to pot them on, seeing as they grow mainly in winter.

Re: Pediocactus knowltonii grafted on Pereskiopsis
Back at the end of April I decided to remove most of the pereskiopsis, leaving about a centimetre of it, with the pediocactus knowltonii attached to the top. My decision was made for me, because the pereskiopsis succumbed to scale insect damage which had also attacked some of my gymnocalyciums, echi...

Re: Mystery haworthia
The plant is over 35 years old - it was given to me when I used to go to Northants Branch meetings, but I don't remember who gave it to me. It hasn't grown much - the photo is only a little bigger than life size. I keep it in my porch, which is south facing and double glazed, so it can get very hot ...

Mystery haworthia
I am sorting through my plants and have discovered an old label in a mystery haworthia which says Haworthia Lapostelle "Cecil Gilbert". I can't find any information about it. Does anyone know anything about this plant
