It came away from the pot with little in the way of roots, and on cleaning the remaining roots came away. It sounds hollow. Is it .... Bin?...

That's an interesting looking plant .... made more interesting by the sympathetic grit topping which looks almost like camouflage.

This is in the conservatory. One of the few permitted spikeys. HRH has suggested a few of the purchases made yesterday (non spikeys) might look nice in an ornamental bowl .... in the conservatory.

Matucana aureiflora had begun to flower. More to come I hope.
