Re: Forum access problems

Hi all, Although I've stepped back from the coal face I am still keeping one eye on things until we get a better system in place which will hopefully be soon. Yesterday, it wasn't the Forum causing issues. The server itself had issues beyond our control, which I beileve are now fixed. It was affecti...

Re: Aberdeen Duthie Park Winter Gardens

I guess as staff change, people with different interests come on board. One would think that maintaining the garden's collection is more a matter of professionalism and skills, and not necessarily personal interests of staff or management... It still does look better than many collections around, a...

Aberdeen Duthie Park Winter Gardens

Re: Pest control

Possibly odd q, I applied compo bi 58. Its A systemic, should you wait a while before watering so its absorbed & spread thru the plant to hopefully kill the bugs or does watering a few days later make no difference or even help spread it around the plant or we haven't a clue. Note that Compo Bi...

Re: Plant Labels

More than happy to be corrected, but aren’t metal labels prohibitively expensive to be used in large collections? More than happy to be corrected, but aren’t metal labels prohibitively expensive to be used in large collections? I guess it depends on how long the collection is in existence ;) I used...

Re: Seed germination

First, congrats on the germinations :)
The seeds will sort themselves out, don't worry. They sense gravity (geotropism) and roots will grow downwards and shoots upwards.
Good luck with growing them.

Re: Seed pack labelling

If I may suggest, having an option to display all positions at once would serve the same purpose as a downloadable PDF I believe, it would also make ordering much faster on larger screens. Besides that, massive thanks (again) for making this happen! Do you mean a single long list? It's against good...

Re: Seed pack labelling

First of all, congratulations on the new seed ordering process, which was seamless and very fast, and has the distinct advantage that items out of stock cannot be ordered, avoiding the traditional disappointment. Can I enter a small plea though that something like the old physical style seed list i...
