I think your fine with O. fossulatus on the label Ralph but some people put O. fossulatus in with O. celsianus but I keep them seperate as fossulatus has less hair thinner stems and grows slightly quicker. I agree. Although POWO places fossulatus as a synonym of celsianus, I too maintain it separat...

.... and if you want hardiness stick with the straight sempervivums. However, having been up here north of the border over 7+ years I've struggled to grow the hardiest of houseleeks. Even in my free-draining rockery these rot off with the soggy Scottish winters we delight in just north of Glasgow. ...
