Amazing but true - succulents

Post by Bill »

Just thought I share this amazing fact.

I was reading an article today on light transmission in window-leaved plants today and I came across the fact that some Lithops and Haworthia have such a high thermal tolerance that they can survive temperatures up to 155f or 68c for up to an hour amongst the highestheat tolerance of any vascular plants.

Mainly Haworthia and Gasteria, a few other South African succulents and the odd spiky thing.
