BCSS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION BOOKINGS
It’s time to get you convention booking in. Xmas and New Year are all over so now is the time to be looking forward to the convention in July. Unlike branch or zone events the International Convention is residential and this means we have to book the rooms with the university well in advance. If we ...

Re: December Cactus World
It is actually earlier than in many years and is scheduled for mailing from the mailing house tomorrow (11th).
It should be with you later in the week well over a week before Xmas.

Re: Astrophytum cap. med.
I found that the plant on a graft kept taking moisture from the stock during the winter until the stock eventually dried up and died. The only way I could get grafted plants through the winter was to keep giving a little water.

Re: Aloe polyphylla pollenation
Disappointingly my plant is not flowering this year though it is still very healthy and growing well. I like the look of your plants. Do you keep them under cover all year, mine lives out of doors although under an open porch. I do have 20 seedlings sown this year coming on, still small but they alw...

Re: Field Number Database - The Long Term
This is exactly the sort of question that we need to find answers to before getting into discussions. Tw days before a meeting does not allow enough time to get any idea of anything. That is the reason I suggested putting it to the BoT in May.

Re: Field Number Database - The Long Term
I don't think the AGM would be appropriate as there is not sufficient time prior to that for alternatives/costs/storage/access to be properly investigated and any discussion would be based on suppositions. The next meeting of the BoT is in a month's time on May 13th and it would make much more sense...

Re: AGM - UPDATED
The Society AGM is now less than two weeks away on Saturday 8th April. The new format has resulted in many more sellers attending than previously and we currently have bookings for sales space by two branches, four individuals, two nurseries and one book seller. This is in addition to the usual sale...

Re: cactus world
Hi, I can remember visiting the cactus shop which cactusRogerUK refers to on Baker Street as a child. It would probably have been in the early 1960s, during a holiday in London, following a visit to the Planetarium. I remember it as a florist, with an extensive display of cacti and I bought one pla...
