A few Gymnocalycium plants and you have a full season of flower interest.
As for "dark smudges", under UV light, they glow in shades of red. (Sorry to be scientifically boring). In IR light .... more interesting still .....

If you process your images before posting you'll find that resizing is part of the file saving routine together with the choices of file type and file quality.

I'd be more than interested in knowing the outcome of your inspection. Last year I lost a large number of my smaller Haworthia. Not all and not necessarily neighbouring plants and not neighbouring other succulents. It was root mealie for some.

There's been an update to the site

Which has meant that the file size is set at 2Mb
We are not alone. The DKG site has been set similarly.
